eva and harper are two of katie and ben's *little* next door neighbors. aren't they cute?

i'll be holidaying until the new year, so as far as blogging goes this is it for 2009. thank you to everyone who takes a little time to have a look and leave a comment - i am very appreciative of any feedback. your support makes it all worthwhile! (okay, sounding a bit bloggy now lol).

raspberries please!

we celebrated ben's birthday at the raspberry farm in christmas hill. we had a lovely lunch followed by even lovelier desserts. the farm makes the BEST jam, and i couldn't leave without buying some to take back home (nevermind that it weighs a tonne hehe). the sun was shining, the bumblebees were out and all in all it was a beautiful day!

while in tasmania, ria, christine and elise put on a baby shower for katie. elise made her yummy cupcakes, and christine made a lovely display of glass bottles filled with queen anne's lace and sweet peas, complete with a cute teapot. i was told afterwards that christine's teapot collection is often raided for special occasions :)

i love how everything was styled on the table - it reminded me of the many magazines and blogs i've often perused and thought, "i wish i could do that". you girlies made everything look so lovely!

ps. how cute are the little jelly bean feet on the cupcakes!

hobart

hobart is a pretty city. we had a very fine breakfast by the harbour, found some cute shops to spend too much time in, and also climbed mount wellington (in the car! however, there was a crazy cyclist climbing it on his bike!) what's more, we even found some sunshine :)

katie's birthday

happy birthday! here are some photographs from katie's birthday :) we spent all saturday baking and mixing (and tasting!) for the party on sunday morning. we even made some bunting out of katie's cute fabric (the non-edible kind ben).

despite the fresh gusty wind, it was a very enjoyable day, and it was go nice to be there for my sister's birthday - and to hand over all the presents from w.a!

bridgenorth is the cute and country like place where i stayed. whilst in tasmania. jules let me borrow his canon film slr (yay more film!) so i could let loose on the paddocks, cows, grass, fences, horses and abundance of other green things.

i love this little place :)

the wanderer

i have returned! and oh my, do i have a lot to show you! i had a very very pleasant time in tasmania, with a stomach full of raspberries and cake, cameras full of photographs, eyes full of scenic treasures and a heart that is bordering on mushy! thank you to my sister katie (and her husband ben) for making it the best time ever - i miss you!
