up and off

i've been invited to a birthday party! i'll be jet setting off to tasmania for the next week and a bit, but hope to be back with a plethora of photographs from all my adventures!

ps. how cool are these invitations? they are hand drawn and have a magnet on the back - where better than to put it on the hills hoist!?

bright eyes

we had the pleasure of looking after this little chap for the day today. in a rare moment, he sat still just long enough for me take this picture. after that he had a huge giggle and was off again :) he is such a sweetie - and check out those eyes!

addi(c)tion

introducing...the holga 135BC ! saturated colours, happy accidents and intense vignettes make this camera rather exciting :) not quite a complete replacement for ye olde lomo , but with a bit of practice i think mr holga will reveal some of his own charms :)

baby shower

last week my sister katie came for a little visit! after all the surprising she has done us, we thought it would be nice to surprise her in return with a baby shower :) we had a lovely night with lots of aunties, cousins and friends - here are a few pictures of the evening.

dessert

a little while ago i was invited to a dessert party! one of the coolest ideas i've come across. we started off with a light dinner, and progressed to fruit kebabs, brandy snaps, blue berry cheesecakes, not to mention smotherings of chocolate mousse over everything :)

a bit of a departure from my usual style, as dear mother insisted i take pictures of her flowers. clickr to flickr for the story.

way beyond the border

i really should get in the water myself, but whenever tim takes me on his surfing expeditions, i tend to get distracted by everything around me and start taking pictures. the video below is a collection of moving images (yes, moving!) that depict our little travels. (incidently, there is never any good surf when i come along, so perhaps i'm a bad omen).
