warm glow

Monday, October 26, 2009

my dear mother has the loveliest rose garden, and at the moment it is in full bloom. i spent a grey skied afternoon doing a little pruning, and ended up with a few blossoms myself. i love how all the colours blend together...it reminds me of a sunset...

august arrives

Tuesday, August 4, 2009

i haven't posted in a while! it's now august - only one month before spring decides to pop its head around the corner. i'm currently on prac at a highschool, so my daily hours are spent planning and teaching the kiddies! however, i did find time recently to shoot off the rest of a negected roll of film and get it processed. i like some in this set very much :) i hope you enjoy them as well - i'll post a few more, hopefully before the week is out!

a little bit of pink to lighten or perhaps brighten up your day. it's rather rainy at the moment!
i took these pictures last weekend at my oma's birthday party. i went outside and took lots of pictures of their garden and iconic verandah which i will hopefully be featuring soon on into my window. the chinese apple tree always reminds me of summer afternoons sitting in their front yard playing with my cousins and picking off the fruit to make all kinds of weird and wonderful concoctions...can you remember it too?

ps. this is tess, by the way :)

all the colours of the rainbow

blossom place

Thursday, April 23, 2009

my room is in in a constant state of change. sometimes the walls are white, sometimes they're not. sometimes there are yellow blossoms, othertimes white, othertimes pink. once the whole wall was covered with posters, then i grew tired of them and assembled (note: i did actually purchase the bookshelf and spend half the day putting it together) a bookshelf instead. change is one thing i don't mind!

ps. mum pruned the roses and i asked her to keep me some blossoms - she picked these out for me..i think they all look rather pretty together. i put them on top of my bookshelf and they made a decidedly good match with the photo frame my sister katie gave to me..bravo :)
