ouders van nu | magazine feature

i am beyond excited – my work has been published!  the dutch parenting magazine, ouders van nu, has featured my photographs of caden and his big sand ball.  i am extremely flattered that they chose my images to put in their magazine and jumped up and down like a little girl when the magazine appeared in the letter box.

my sister katie really knows how i throw a party. complete with macaroons, stripy straws, lemonade and home made ice cream, we celebrated her and husband ben’s birthday in the most delightful way!

i know it is the first day of autumn, but i'm secretly hoping that i'll get to enjoy the sun for a little longer :)

one of my favourite summer fruits - berries. mulberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries!

where i want to be

all the wild horses

i have never been a huge fan of horses, but after seeing so many nice pictures of them, i have to confess that they are rather photogenic creatures. in a burst of spontaneity, marie and i travelled down the road in the fading hot summer sun to capture these. i have no doubt that i will be back for more.

soaked in sun

it seems as though the warm weather is not letting up, with another week of sun drenched days. it feels slightly strange to be watching the winter olympics in shorts and a t-shirt :)

harvest

nothing beats picking fresh vegetables from your own garden. straight from the soil to the table, (okay with washing in between) that's the way it should always be :)

raspberries please!

we celebrated ben's birthday at the raspberry farm in christmas hill. we had a lovely lunch followed by even lovelier desserts. the farm makes the BEST jam, and i couldn't leave without buying some to take back home (nevermind that it weighs a tonne hehe). the sun was shining, the bumblebees were out and all in all it was a beautiful day!
