dwellingup

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

i went camping with the lovely nicole in dwellingup a couple of weekends ago.  the air was extremely fresh and brisk but it was so nice to breathe in the fresh air and be completely surrounded by trees.

a girl and a dog

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

i’m the girl on the beach that sits and daydreams while watching the surfers in the water.  i should probably learn how to surf myself, but at the moment i’m pretty happy with my camera in hand, watching the world go by.

these photographs were taken at a beach somewhere near gracetown.  i was sitting on the sand when a black dog ran up to me and decided it was going to keep me company for a while.  when the dog saw a person coming out the water, it would race down the beach to see who is was.  after that it would trot back to me and look at me with weary eyes as if to say, ‘well, where is he?’  the dog was worried about its owner, out there in the surf.

i’m glad someone knows what it’s like =)

coasting

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

some of my last days down south were spent travelling along the coast in search of the perfect waves, sunny skies, blue water and a little adventure. i love that nearly every beach along this wondrous coastline is different to the next. i wonder if you can guess which beach is which? :)

soaked in sun

Monday, February 22, 2010

it seems as though the warm weather is not letting up, with another week of sun drenched days. it feels slightly strange to be watching the winter olympics in shorts and a t-shirt :)
wishing you all a wonderful and plentiful week - i hope to have two very exciting 'into my window's' to show you all soon!

where the sun shines

Sunday, January 17, 2010

i spent twelve days in lovely port gregory for the summer holidays, where the sun shines, the wind blows and stories are told. here are a few snaps from the holga - nothing spectacular, just little holiday memories :)

ben+katie+(baby)

with less than two weeks to go before the bump becomes a baby, i decided i better post some pictures of my sister and her husband! on the way back from the raspberry farm, we stopped by a little old church. it was surrounded by tall grass (which i tripped over, no less) and was a rather quaint setting for a pre-baby shoot.

the mountain that you can see in the distance in a few of the shots is the place where ben proposed to katie. isn't that sweet?

happy new year! i've had a relaxing break and i am back for a new year :)

did you make any new year resolutions? in a bid to save my pennies for my european adventures, i've decided to go a whole year without buying new clothes - emphasis on the new - op shop finds are acceptable!

this picture is from my tasmanian adventures, and i think it is my favourite. a good way to start the new year :)

raspberries please!

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

we celebrated ben's birthday at the raspberry farm in christmas hill. we had a lovely lunch followed by even lovelier desserts. the farm makes the BEST jam, and i couldn't leave without buying some to take back home (nevermind that it weighs a tonne hehe). the sun was shining, the bumblebees were out and all in all it was a beautiful day!

while in tasmania, ria, christine and elise put on a baby shower for katie. elise made her yummy cupcakes, and christine made a lovely display of glass bottles filled with queen anne's lace and sweet peas, complete with a cute teapot. i was told afterwards that christine's teapot collection is often raided for special occasions :)

i love how everything was styled on the table - it reminded me of the many magazines and blogs i've often perused and thought, "i wish i could do that". you girlies made everything look so lovely!

ps. how cute are the little jelly bean feet on the cupcakes!
