the beach in winter is beautiful

the beach in winter is beautiful.  the air is cold and it bites into your skin and stings your cheeks.  the clouds make strange shapes that make the sun emit a warm glow.  shadows play on the waves while the surfers bob up and down, lost in sea and foam.  and all the while dogs sit and wait, ears pricked to the lightest sound of their owners returning.

last weekend amber turned seven. to celebrate, we went to the beach, one of amber's favourite places :) it was a really lovely afternoon! here are a few pictures that i photographed of the birthday girl - isn't she lovely?

i hope you are not getting sick of seeing photos from the south west...it seems every time i travel there, i come back with another photo story..this time, it's injanup beach (fast becoming a favourite) and tim's surfing escapade :)
